Logo design

After designing these logos first in my sketchbook I moved onto creating in photoshop and illustrator to see how they would work when properly made, so that I could see which to choose. I will also be showing these to my audience to get their feedback on which is best and what I could do to make them better.

Primary research

The images above are from leaflets from small car showrooms and galleries in London that I visited to gather primary information for how these events and shows are run and presented to the audience.
The three photos above are cars from the galleries and showrooms.

Secondary research

Below are a few of the many car shows that are already in existence. I have gathered a few to look through and get the correct information that I need to start this new project.
This first show, c4r-fest, is a very family based car show with games and activities across the outdoor venue. With costume parties and a very happy and friendly vibe.
This next show, The fast car festival, focuses on its audience being car crazy people who love the racing and fast starts from every car, as it includes racing from others as well as stand alone exhibitions.
This final show, London motor show, is all about the fancy, beautiful, cars of everyday and the special ones that really catch your eye, a lot being from the UK.

Initial ideas

Initial Ticket, Billboard, App, Parking ticket and lanyard designs. being able to see the layout and design before making it.

New Project - Festivals - Brief & Aims

Brief:
I have decided to focus my festival brief on cars and the love people have for them. This whole brief was to create and design my own festival, which I will be doing on cars, and make my own audience features of the festival.

This would include creating all the branding and advertising for the festival so that everything has my own style to this idea. The brief is open to what we can create in terms of advertisement and branding for the audience, therefore I have decided that I will be designing tickets, billboards (roadside advertisement), lanyards, an app and a 10 second video giving the audience a preview of what to expect in this auto show. Including all this I will be designing and making my own logo for this show and with this, if it is right, I will continuing the colour from this logo throughout the rest of these designs to have a continuity for this show. The general audience for this project will be an all ages limit, therefore the design ideal will be much more difficult to deal with when it comes to it.

Aims:

  • To get the app to focus on helping people finding their way round like nothing out there today, being able to access exactly what they want with a couple of clicks on their phone.
  • Getting the 10 second clip to really make a difference in the advertising process.
  • Having an all ages audience will be difficult in the design process and it will limit what I can go with.
