After coming up with our vision statement, we discussed our basic ideas and took our research into consideration. We wanted to include the banana leaves that are around the DJ deck booth in the images Phoebe found from the Cuban night clubs. We wanted to make sure we take the Cuban culture into consideration but also mute down and change the colour scheme so that the work that we produce is suitable all year round. We really liked how the dark purple and dark green looked together so Phoebe played round with different textures and variations of the image.
After coming up with a few ideas, we reviewed them and the one below is one that didn't work. It made your vision more blurred and wasn't very pleasing to the eye. We will not be using this for the design. It doesn't look as blurred on the image inserted but on a small screen (which would be larger than the label) it did look blurred.
