For my label design I wanted to use the feel and architecture of the Havana, in Cuba, for my designs as the architecture there is something that connects in a small way with the current designs on the Bacardi's bottles. To tone down the colour and detail of these buildings I added filters of different textures and styles to see how well the architecture would react. The results of this experimentation were very good and making some addition changes made them work even better. Some of the filters used were; Graphic pen, Chalk and Charcoal, Grain, Photocopy and Texturizer.
After my initial experimentations I took the best one and made it into a label design and added it to a bottle to see exactly how the colours, textures and logo would work together on the bottle.
